Termination 9 / 9

Last step of the HR cycle

Termination

An employee’s exit from the organization should be just as positive and respectful as the onboarding process for that employee’s replacement will be.

Termination can either be voluntary or involuntary.

Voluntary termination

  1. Acceptance of employment elsewhere

  2. Retirement

  3. Dissatisfaction with the current employer, manager, or job

  4. Health- or disability-related reasons

Involuntary termination

This usually happens because of layoffs
