Committees have been classified in various ways according to the major purposes which they are intended to serve and the power they exercise.

1. Board of Directors – group of people that govern the organisation

2. Steering Committee 

   – oversee a major project, generally IT based.  

   It is often involved in deciding how to allocate scarce IT resources and planning for future system development.

3. Works safety Committee

4. Ethics committee

5. The Accounting Standards Board (ASB) 

   – aims to promote consistency in corporate reporting by creating financial reporting standards to which major businesses are expected to adhere

6. Remuneration Committee 

   – in charge of setting the salaries of Directors
