CIMA BA2 Syllabus C. PLANNING AND CONTROL - Non Financial Performance Measures - Notes
Non Financial Performance Indicators
In a broad sense, these are used for not for profit organisations and for organisations measuring their non financial performance.
Examples include things like measuring number of complaints, staff turnover, number of hours spent training staff, new of new products introduced into the market.
These are all about ensure that the organisation's quality is maintained and that customers are satisfied, which will therefore lead to the long term profitability of the organisation.
They are useful as they cannot be manipulated (as financial measures can be), and they are more forward looking as opposed to financial measures that only look at historic results.
