How does personality affect leadership?

Some leaders are more effective than others, and leadership perspectives explains the reason for this.

This perspective assumes that leaders are born rather than made. It assumes that leaders have certain personality traits and personal characteristics that make them effective leaders. 

If a manager who is not a good personality leader and does not have the impulse to lead is promoted on technical grounds, then they can still lead using technical leadership - which is having knowledge of the tasks so that judgment is correct most of the time.

  9. Intelligence and ability to put things into a wider context
